National Service Scheme
The young and dynamic NSS unit is functioning to serve our country.
Buildings are whitewashed periodically.
Student volunteers organised one-day camps on the campus to do the cleaning work.
A large number of green trees provide cool and pleasant atmosphere on the campus. Drip irrigation facility is put to use.
The sanitary workers and the gardeners keep the institution neat and tidy. National Service Scheme and National Cadet Corps volunteers undertake the work of tree plantation and its maintenance.
Our National Service Scheme volunteers have supplied clothes and other essential articles to the needy people on various occasions.
Health and Hygiene Awareness Programmes
The volunteers organized a one-day camp at Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai and explained to the in-patients the importance of cleanliness and necessity to follow the rules of the hospital to maintain hygiene awareness programme on the evils of drug addiction and anti leprosy campaign are organized in our institution.
Population Awareness Programmes
Under the auspices of the Planning Forum of our institution, the rural poor are educated about the benefits of the small family norms.
Our institution through National Service Scheme, Planning Forum and Women's Development Cell has conducted AIDS awareness programmes.
Environmental Awareness Programme
The members of the National Service Scheme units participated in the 'Keep the City Clean Campaign' and the programme on eradication of polythene bags.
Medical Camps
During special camps general medical camps and eye camps are organised in villages in collaboration with the city hospitals. Medicines are supplied to the village people free of cost.
Veterinary camps are also organised for the benefit of the livestock.

Our institution has collected funds from students, the staff, and the management committee and the public in general as a noble gesture to mitigate the sufferings of the public affected by natural calamities.

Soil Test for Farms
In consultation with the officials of Agricultural Soil Testing Department general soil test camps are organised by our National Service Scheme volunteers in villages during special camps. These camps are highly useful to farmers in checking the soil quality and in getting higher yield.
Other Activities
Our students offer volunteer service regularly in the nearby temples on important religious occasions.
Our students undertake the task of cleaning public places like Thirumalai Naicker Mahal, Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple and Temples at Rayapalayam and Thirumogoor.
Our National Service Scheme Units along with the Lions Club donated sarees and dhotis to the elderly and the needy people.
Development of Physical Well Being
Participation in tournaments A meeting of communal harmony was organised at Al-Ameen Etheem Khanna on 8.11.04 by our college National Service Scheme Units.
